Rosa's last day before she sets out on her week long road trip see's us putting together our rota for the summer festies!! Also the day we judge the contest to name our chickens !!

We waved goodbye to Polly and Rick fairies this morning after a 2 night stay in our B+B as the start of thier 2 week honeymoon! They were married on sat and they both wore thier wings made especially by rosa fairy for the reception....I did a fairy photoshoot with them yesterday and they are a gorgoeus smoochy couple and i feel very honoured that they chose to start thier honeymoon with us!!

Wanting to send out a great big fairy thank you to Fay fairy who did an amazing job of helping us out for the week with fairy woofing!!! This is how she chose to spend her holiday and it was lovely to have her around...She was very shy about dressing up and asked me to pose for some photo's for her(i am not so shy!!!) and i really loved the pics she took...

Before she left the next day i told her it was definatley her turn!! I picked out an outfit for her and without too much arm twisting had her in it in a blink of an eye!!! oh my goddess, she looked drop dead gorgeous!!! We stepped outside to take some photo's and there was a beautiful rainbow awaiting her in the front yard!!! A bit of fairy magic showing her how gorgeous she is!!!!

It is an incredable honour to have achieved this title, and I just cannot believe that I have become apart of the highly pretigious Fairy Love family!

For this achievement I would like to start by thanking those around me who have stuck by me through think and thin...those who have joined me in the thickness of mud wrestling, and to my dear green fairy friend Ella, who was prepared to wrestle in the thinness of fairy Love Glitter wrestling, in the 2007 Beautiful Days Championships...unfortunately it rained and the match had to be pospond and rescheduled for this years fairy shenanigans amongst the festival love!

Fay Fairy Woofing up a storm!

Hey there world wide fairy's Fay Fairy here, i have been asked to give you all the low down on my week of woofing at Fairy Love HQ.
Well if I'm honest i did not know what to expect but nothing is as it seems here, i was asked on my first morning if i would lend a hand with poo packing! Fairy poo that is! an hour later i was elbow deep in glitter and chocolate and having a right old time of it. after that my poo day continued with the veggie patch mixing in cow poo this time and getting lovely and mucky to boot.
I having been having the time of my life glittering wing backs (which is allot harder than it looks) and sewing new ties on the curtains for the stall not to mention sorting out stacks of knickers ready to get funky designs printed on them.
Everyone is looking after me as if i am part of the Fairy family its amazing I'm not sure i want to go home, and my nights by the fire with the delicious Shelley Fairy will stay with me forever.
Any way I'm off to finish the curtains as Jason is going to teach me the fine art of Rainbow Halo making. I cant wait!
Take care - Fay Fairy xxx

Facebook and clear outs!

Hey Fairies!

I've spent the last week or so tippy-tapping in Facebook world to help spread the word of Fairylove as far and wide as possible. Have been networking with loads of other fairy sites, festival sites and any other fairylove related peeps. It's been great contacting fairy people from all over the globe and hooking up.

Every morning theres a whole heap of replies to friendship requests and I have been mad busy replying to eveyone welcoming them into the Facebook Fairylove Family....spurred on by so many replies I went a bit crazy inviting loads and loads of potential fairylovers all in one go....all of a sudden......ooops!! Facebook have blocked our 'invite friend' feature. Bummer!

Oh, just whilst we'tre on facebook blah...rosa has just posted a couple of videos of Glitter Wrestling form last summer's festies..go take a look see! I can almost remeber that it was sunny once.

So........ this afternoon instead of tippy-tapping I'm gonna get stuck in to tidying the Cider Press under the office. this is a dumping ground for all the junk that gets generated form festies and whatever else is going on. There's a few dead bikes, broken mannequins, old sofas, and god knows what else. In fact I'll go down now and take a picture so you can get a before and after experience....it'll also encourage me to try to get it finished.

I'll get back to yous when it's been transformed.

PS Please feel free to join up to Fairylove Family on Facebook and spread the fairyluuurve!!

Sunshiney Day

Morning, kids...hope it's as sunnylicious where you are as it is here.
The broody duck is diligently sitting on her eggs in the floating duck house in the middle of the pond. A couple of times a day she sprints off the nest, runs up the grass quacking madly, scoffs a load of food, and then dashes back to the nest. Good on her! That's dedication for you. We'll get pics up here as soon as the little 'uns hatch, so keep your eyes peeled (mind you, we're not counting them yet...)

We've just managed to find a company who can print 100% biodegradable carrier bags for us! This is something we've been attempting to do for several years now, and it's only recently that it's become mainstream enough to be possible, so we're very excited, and hope that we can set a good example to other shops!

By the way there's only 10 days left to enter our competition...Name That Chicken!! There are four brilliant prizes of £25 vouchers for our online shop to be spent on whatever fairy goodies your heart desires! Check out the competitions page for details and to enter.

Thanks to Sarah Fairy for lending us 'He's Just Not That Into You!'. Shelley's finished it already, and I've started reading it now...it's a book that's well worth dipping into, even if you don't read it cover to cover. So get down the library/bookshop/internet and get a copy...I thought it would be a bit sexist and stupid, but it actually makes quite a lot of sense and leaves you feeling positive and in control!! Power to the girls! Got to be taken with a small pinch of salt, of course...but if anyone who's reading this has read it, get in touch and let us know what you think!

Fairy plumbers and rainbows galore...

Was woken up by 3 plumbers this moring and let them into fairy towers wearing my pj's..Having a half day in the office today and then off to cheltenham to have a poke round the charity shops looking for dress-ups...Very much looking forward to some fairy down time.It looks like i am choosing 2 kittens this weekend to bring home to HQ,it's been a long time between cats so i am very excited!!! Have been getting lots of bespoke orders for top of the range wings (very big wings) so there must be something in the air....Sent 2 pairs of wings to japan yesterday, great to know that there are fairies everywhere!!!

The worshop is looking very cluttered in a colourful kind of way at the moment with lots of wings on the go!! We had a visit from gail fairy yesterday who bought us a load of gorgeous hand made corsets and flower headdresses...Keep an eye out on the website for a photoshoot soon!
So many rainbows around at the moment...Everyday we are having rainbows and had 2 days in a row when it was in the same place at the same time...Fairy magic and wishes all round....

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'...

It's all rolling along pretty nicely in the Fairylove office at the moment - it feels like we're getting lots done and getting really prepared for the hectic Summer season ahead. It's getting towards that time of year when it feels a bit like there just aren't enough hours in the day!

Oooh, and the latest exciting news is that I've opened a Fairylove shop on Etsy! I think I've mentioned it before - it's a brilliant website a bit like eBay but just for handmade items. It is completely addictive, because it's so full of beautiful things...it would be so easy to spend a lot of time and money on there. Click here to see our shop up there...there's only a few pairs of wings and a couple of necklaces (like the one on the left) but we'll be adding loads more stuff soon. It's a great chance for us to get really creative making new things!

Woohoo I'm going to see Giffords Circus next month...it's the most delightful little family-run traditional circus that tours the UK every year. The costumes are always a real treat!

Fairylove summer staff selection weekend

Hey fairies!

Phew, what a weekend! We had 12 would be fairies come and stay with us at fairylove HQ for the weekend. Loads and loads of dress ups, lots of creative imagination and soooo many cakes!!
If you want to find out who came and what they thought about the weekend by clicking here.

Things are definatly beginning to speed up as the festie season approaches. Rosa, as you might know is moving on to pastures new in October so we have to climb inside her head and pull out all the relevent information we may need to know on all the bits she does for us. Could get messy in there......eek!

We'll be needing a fairy apprentice from that time so if you are fantastic, brilliant, amazing or know someone who is then drop us a line and find out how to apply for the best job in the world.

Blustery Day at Fairy Towers

Rosa Fairy here. It's been a windy old day at Fairy Towers today...Winnie the Pooh weather, as Jason put it. I've been putting the finishing touches to some wings today - soon they will be winging their way to their new fairy owners!

I recently made my first ever pair of Top of The Range wings, a rite of passage for any fairy wing-maker! We were sent a drawing from a fairy who wanted us to make her wedding wings.
I pondered over the drawing for a few days before building up the courage to go for it, and the wings were several weeks in the making...but I was delighted with the result!

This afternoon we have a visitor due to arrive, who is getting the train all the way from Cambridge (which is a long long way away) just to come and buy some wings! Now that's dedication for you...
